âŹ‡ïž Finish Strong Experience âŹ‡ïž

You know what you should be doing. Go to bed earl You know what you should be doing.

Go to bed earlier. Move your body. Drink the water. Eat the food that makes you feel good. Take a break. Put down your phone. Make time for yourself.

And maybe you even start with the best intentions.

But then work gets crazy. A kid needs something. The calendar fills up. You’re exhausted by the end of the day, and suddenly the habits you promised yourself you would stick to are the first things to go.

So you start wondering

Why can’t I just be more consistent?

Maybe I need more discipline. More motivation. More willpower.

But what if none of those things are actually the problem?

That’s one of the ideas I explored with Courtney Townley, author of The Consistency Code and host of the Grace & Grit podcast, on this episode of The Secrets of Supermom Show.

And Courtney offered a reframe every busy mom needs to hear:

What we often call self-sabotage may actually be a capacity problem.

Have you ever been surrounded by people all day lo Have you ever been surrounded by people all day long
and still felt lonely?

Maybe you talked to coworkers all morning. You chatted with another mom at school pickup. You drove kids to practices, made dinner with your family, answered approximately 7,000 questions, and finally fell into bed next to your spouse.

You were literally never alone.

And yet, somehow, you still felt disconnected.

If you’ve ever experienced this, today’s episode of The Secrets of Supermom Show is for you.

I’m talking with Shari Leid, former litigator turned connection coach, friendship expert, bestselling author, and national speaker, about something I think a lot of busy, high-achieving moms experience—but don’t necessarily know how to name:

Loneliness and disconnection.

And our conversation made me think about burnout in a completely different way.

Because what if some of the exhaustion we’re trying to fix with better schedules, stronger routines, and more productivity isn’t really a productivity problem at all?

What if we need more connection? Catch the whole episode at Secretsofsupermom.com/313!
Goals are easier to quit when no one knows you’re Goals are easier to quit when no one knows you’re working on them.

You make the plan.

You’re excited.

You have the fresh notebook, the color-coded calendar, maybe even a brand-new habit tracker. 😂

And for a while?

You’re DOING IT.

Then life happens.

You miss a few days.

Your motivation drops.

The plan gets harder than you expected.

And because no one else is really doing it with you

It becomes very easy to just
stop.

This is one of the biggest reasons I wanted Finish Strong to look different this year.

I don’t want to help you make a plan in October and then be completely on your own trying to follow it through December.

I want us to keep coming back to it together.

Every week.

What did you do?

What got in the way?

What needs to change?

What’s your next move?

Because there’s something powerful about knowing:

Other women are working toward their goals too.

Other women had a terrible week and are starting again.

Other women need to adjust the plan.

Other women are celebrating tiny wins that nobody else would understand.

And other women are expecting you to come back next week. ❀

You still have to do the work.

But you don’t have to do it alone.

That’s what we’re creating with Finish Strong 2026.

10 weeks. One goal. Finish the year proud.

We start October 8, and you can join us FREE.

Comment FINISH STRONG and I’ll send you the details, or grab the link in my bio.
If you’re searching for the secret to work-life ba If you’re searching for the secret to work-life balance as a busy mom, you might be asking the wrong question.

Maybe the goal isn’t figuring out how to do it all.

Maybe it’s figuring out what actually needs to be done by you—and building the systems, support, and flexibility to handle everything else.

That’s one of the biggest themes that came out of my conversation with Melissa Core-Caballo, Founder and CEO of Dead Horse Branding, on The Secrets of Supermom Show.

Melissa is a successful entrepreneur, wife, and mom of two who runs a business alongside her husband. She’s also experienced seasons when even the very best plans couldn’t prepare her for what was coming.

And if you’re a working mom who loves a good plan (hello, my people!), you probably know exactly what that feels like.

You create the schedule. You organize the calendar. You establish the routines.

And then a child gets sick.

A work emergency pops up.

The school sends an email about something happening tomorrow that apparently everyone else knew about three weeks ago.

Or life throws something at you that is much, much bigger than an inconvenient schedule change.

So how do you create work-life balance when life itself is constantly changing?

That’s where things get interesting.
