There is a power in connecting with other moms. You feel it when you are in a business meeting and find out another attendee has kids, too. You feel it at the park. You feel it on mom’s night out dates.
Our guest today is the host of the On a Mother Level podcast, news anchor, and mom of two, Denise Hnytka.
She is a firm believer that connecting and relating with other moms can be just as healing as any life hacks you can seek out. For Denise, being a Supermom means admitting you can have it all, but you might not get it all at the same time.

Today’s show is going to be a total treat. I met Denise Hnytka online as I have many moms on the show. I loved her podcast On a Mother Level because the conversations were so real and raw and honest. So…I decided to flip the script a little bit and ask Denise to join me since she is usually on the interviewer end instead of the interviewee. I had to twist her arm a little but I am so grateful she said yes! I was excited to hear about the power of connecting with other moms, get a sneak into all the things she has learned from the hundreds of other moms she has interviewed, and hear some commonalities in our struggles.
Denise is a wife, a mom of two boys, and a news anchor and podcast host. She is a firm believer that connecting and relating with other moms can be just as healing as any life hacks you can seek out. For Denise, being a Supermom means admitting you can have it all, but you might not get it all at the same time.
Alright, mamas, there are a couple of choice words in this one, so you might want to pop in the earbuds. I just know you will love Denise as much as I do.

- Maybe your process isn’t wrong, maybe some things are just HARD–sometimes we have to embrace the things that suck
- How we can often compete with other moms in a race to the bottom, that our hard is worse than someone else’s hard
- The glamorous and not-so-glamorous parts of being a news anchor
- Some of the coolest people Denise has met during her time as an anchor (Donnie Wahlberg, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, anyone?)
