In this episode, we’re flipping the script. Instead of just adding new goals, we’re talking about what we need to let go of to create the life we actually want. I’m sharing the five things I’m leaving behind in 2025—from over-scheduling to following everyone else’s rules—and how setting boundaries with yourself is just as important as setting them with others.

Today, we’re talking about something we don’t discuss nearly enough—what we’re letting go of.
We often focus on goal setting, planning for what we want to achieve, and chasing big dreams. But just as important as adding new goals is knowing when to release what no longer serves us. And a huge part of that? Learning to set boundaries—with others and with ourselves.
Is It Okay to Set Boundaries with Yourself?!!
Yes, yes, and YES! We set boundaries with other people all the time—to protect our time, energy, and mental health. But setting boundaries with ourselves can be just as powerful. It means saying no to overcommitment, resisting distractions, and holding firm to the habits that bring us peace and joy.
So, as I embrace my 2025 word of the year—SAVOR—I’m also saying goodbye to five things that no longer fit into the life I want to create. Let’s dive in!
1. Over-Scheduling
I’ve always loved being busy. I have a million passions, and I tend to say yes simply because I can. But if I truly want to savor my time, I need margin. I need space. And that means letting go of an overloaded schedule. This year, I’m prioritizing slow, intentional living over constant hustle.
2. Energy Bleeds
Energy bleeds are those sneaky little things that drain you—unnecessary stress, toxic relationships, and time-wasters. If it doesn’t energize me, it’s not coming with me into 2025. I’m choosing energy boosts over energy drains.
3. Ignoring My Gut
I always know when something isn’t right. It shows up in my chest, my stomach—that deep inner knowing. But sometimes, my logical brain tries to override it. This year, I’m trusting myself. I’m listening to my intuition, making decisions based on what feels right, not just what makes sense on paper.
4. Guilt
Mom guilt. Career guilt. Guilt over how I spend my time or how I don’t spend my time. It’s all going in the trash. I refuse to feel bad about choices that I’ve made with intention. If it’s a firm yes, then I’m going to own it—guilt-free.
5. Following Everyone Else’s Rules
I’m a rule follower by nature. I love structure. But not all “rules” are worth following—especially the ones that don’t align with the life I want. This year, I’m creating my own rules for what success, motherhood, and work-life balance look like for me.
